Magichive was founded by Subha Parthasarathy in 2009 with a vision to facilitate self-discovery and increase self-awareness. However, she was conducting year long life skills classes for children since 2006. The core belief is that there is magic in each one of us that needs to be recognized and nurtured through empathy, compassion, and love. The objective is to improve the understanding and communication between an adult and a child (parent/child, teacher/child) by sharing and exploring causes of unresourceful thoughts, behaviour, and feelings.
Subha is a Counselling Psychologist. She found her passion in working with children and has been working with children (4 to 16 years age group) since 2006 through her activity classes that are focused on building self-awareness among children. She has taken hundreds of sessions for different groups of parents that are focused on “Understanding Oneself to understand children” and “Non-violent communication”. She has taken numerous training workshops in schools/corporates and educational institutions. She has spent thousands of hours on “one-on-one” counseling sessions with adults. She believes that an effective relationship can be built through compassionate communication. She is inspired by Non-Violent Communication advocated by Marshall Rosenberg. She practices Vipassana and mindfulness meditation. During the pandemic, Titan invited her as a retainer counsellor and she continued in this role for three years.
