Empathetic Communication Program on LabinMotion

We are happy to announce that we will be offering a course titled “Effective and Empathetic Communication” for working executives through LabinMotion, an EdTech that is focused on programs for working executives. This was triggered by the positive response we received after taking a course in IIM Kashipur for MBA students.

This program is anchored around the Marshall Rosenberg’s Nonviolent Communication (NVC) framework to equip participants with practical tools to:

– Navigate complex workplace dynamics.
– Resolve conflicts constructively.
– Enhance leadership presence by balancing empathy with assertiveness.
– Communicate in ways that honor both organizational goals and human needs.

By linking NVC to business contexts (negotiations, team dynamics, performance feedback, stakeholder management), the course builds competencies essential for effective leadership and organizational success.

Compassionate leadership is often quoted as a desired quality in a leader, and one powerful way to build a culture rooted in compassion is through empathetic communication. It is often said that “People don’t quit jobs, they leave bad bosses.”  Lack of empathy, connection, and understanding is often the root cause of being labelled a “bad boss”. This manifests itself in the way a manager or a leader communicates with team members, subordinates, peers, and various stakeholders.

The skills learnt in this program can be used effectively in the personal space, too, thus strengthening family bonds.
